Dr. Jung once told me that any man who comes into your consulting room will either be 21 or 45 years of age no matter his chronological age because his problems will be that he can't get into life or can't get out of life. Those are the only 2 problems a man ever has.~RA Johnson

I see other people call the latter the former a lot, which often annoys me
projection? sure but i call that “making educated guesses about social reality and holding them lightly”

Ofc everyone projects sometimes! But it is strange to assume by default that that is what’s happening for another person

it might sound pretty hippie, but BEING HERE NOW is the closest thing to a purification of all space-time-karma i've found. relax, breathe, ground, let go, be present, allow, surrender trust… be present like this moment is an eternity, the best story ever told, and eventually U will find God
it might sound woo woo, but radiating positive energy is the closest thing to magic i've found. tip generously, compliment strangers, share your knowledge with no expectation of anything in return. give like you have more than enough, and eventually you’ll find that you do.

To master any craft you first have to be an amateur at it. Which etymologically means “lover” or “friend” (of the craft)

Today I heard one of my favorite living pianists say that music doesn’t define him, so he doesn’t beat himself up after a gig if he feels he played poorly And that did a lot for me

Like I hear this sort of thing a lot from people who are not extremely skilled in this super specific way that I want to be So it hits different coming from this person
