An ordinary day at work...
Managing the comms and media around the renaming of Glasgow Caledonian University’s library to the Sir Alex Ferguson Library.
Well, we had more of the ball this half and even scored two, but Port Vale had no need to stretch themselves. It’s not so much the defeats that deflate me but the manner of them. It all feels a bit chaotic, lacking in cohesion and desire. Can it be allowed to go on?
The lessons of last week clearly not learnt. Second to everything and two down after 13 minutes. A switch to a back three steadied the ship temporarily, but normal service was soon resumed. There just isn’t the desire to match the support. Watson said this wouldn’t happen again…
Switch to a back three steadied things for all of five minutes but three at the back or four, it helps if they can actually defend. Dreadful again
We’ve been working all week on putting the Accrington performance right… apparently. Second to everything again.
I cannot comprehend this at all. In what has been a dismal few seasons, he has been one of the few shining lights. Still a devastating wicket taker and should be part of any rebuild under way. Unless he himself thought it was time to go, this is a poor decision all round.
Lancashire Cricket can confirm that, following a remarkable 25-year association with the Red Rose, Sir James Anderson’s playing career with the Club will come to an end at the conclusion of his current contract.

Well it looks like we’re back to giving opposition supporters a Roman holiday. We obviously want to play a certain way but the team goes missing when we can’t. Today’s conditions meant a day for attrition and battling spirit. Accrington understood that. We didn’t. Embarrassing
Another move that starts with a poor ball out from Waller. It’s static, it’s miserable and it’s just not good enough in a home game against local opposition
Awful. It took us 30 mins to get out of our own half to register a shot. Our passing, particularly around our own box, has been mainly dreadful. We’re not playing to the conditions, and it cost us the first and third goal. Accrington playing their game and it suits them
Abysmal. Playing out from the back in these conditions is careless. Waller doesn’t even try to get back to his line after giving it away either.
I interviewed Andy Woodman for one of my books a few years ago. A thoroughly pleasant chap, I was struck by his insight and his determination to run Bromley (NL at the time) with the professionalism of Arsenal (his prior club) in all aspects. He won't be short of offers.
Until the GOAT popped up it was an utterly hopeless second half. All over the place and the early sub at left back didn’t help. After his late goal we got back at it. The amount of injuries we are picking up and carrying is unsustainable though.
Been all over the place this half. Nothing going forward and disjointed by the changes. Looking a bit like the Dale from earlier in the season. Need to get a grip
Wicked cross from left. Great initial header that Waller couldn’t keep away from danger and Wilson plays Green onside to nod in easily. It was coming
