so basically there are nine different tokenized versions of the same stock and none of them use the same ticker and five of them accumulate dividends into a multiplier so the price you see isn't per share, which is why you need a normalization layer before you can compare anything
so basically they're bringing the entire world of traditional finance onchain in a 24/7/365 market and pairing boring assets that our parents would trade with memetic representations of each brand in a completely novel way that low key delivers rewards to holders in real time

You're picking the person who will be with you on the worst day of your life. The day you have to bury a parent, the day the doctor calls you to give you bad news, the day you lose the job, the day your dog that you've had for 14 years doesn't come home. That's who you're choosing. And still most people date like they're casting a movie. Do they give me butterflies? Are they exciting? Is their chemistry cool?Butterflies aren't gonna matter when life punches you in the face and when that day comes, you will not care how charming they were on the first date. You'll care whether they stayed, you'll care whether they showed up, you'll care if they made the effort and they made the unbearable feel bearable. The older I get, the less I'm asking myself if I want to spend a saturday night with this person, and the more I find myself asking, do I want this person to stand next to me when my life falls apart
Hit me with the harshest reality truth

ELI5: Dividends and tokenized assets. 🧑‍🏫 1/ A tokenized stock can pay a dividend with nothing showing up in the wallet. How does that work? 🧵

After nearly 10 years in crypto, Ive reached the point where I see no value in experimenting with or building “interesting” tech or platforms. Its -EV to do anything except launch scam tokens and dump them on people. Imagine trying to build something original, even if you fail spectacularly, only to be outshone by brain-dead meme-coin “devs” repeating the same memes 100x over across every chain and winning. We've completely lost the plot.

Lee Kuan Yew abolished trial by jury in Singapore after determining that it was too easy for defence lawyers to appeal to racial and religious biases of juries in multicultural Singapore. He writes in his memoirs how as a young lawyer he was able to get three clients acquitted who he was sure did commit murder. LKY writes that he "worked on the weaknesses of the jury -- their biases, their prejudices, their reluctance really to find four Muslims guilty of killing in cold blood or in a heat of great passion, religious passion, an RAF officer, his wife and child." He writes "The judge was thoroughly disgusted. I went home feeling quite sick because I knew I'd discharged my duty as required of me, but I knew I had done wrong.” Study after study shows that in multi ethnic societies, there is significant in-group bias on juries.
🚨 NEW: Mohammed Fahir Amaaz and Muhammad Amaad have been cleared over the alleged assault of a male police officer at Manchester Airport Two juries failed to reach a verdict and no further trial will take place

I'm tired of this. Medieval people weren't stupid and they didn't chalk every mysterious phenomenon up to magic. They knew there were aspects of the natural world they didn't yet understand and like any good scientists they hypothesized.
If someone from the medieval era saw this, they'd have no doubt it was magic.

Reminder: The Bible is the reason anyone thinks slavery is immoral. The entire world engaged this practice without a second thought. It was the Bible and Christians that made the world finally realize this practice was wrong. You're welcome.

Essentially what happened to gaming was the boys were playing war in a cool tree fort and than a bunch of girls came along and hung up curtains in the fort and said “We’re playing house now.”
This #WomensHistoryMonth, join us in celebrating the women who shape Halo in our universe, our studio, and our community. 💚

It's not your imagination: Old video games DID look better in the past. Old games relied on old TVs to blur the images together, when viewed on a modern TV things dont look right -

everyone with more than two functioning neurons knows what's wrong with it Western civilization built the only societies in human history where minorities are treated well and often better than the majority. everyone else had genocide, caste systems, or slavery until we made them stop if other cultures treated minorities the way westerners do, you'd see hordes of white people migrating into their countries. you don't. the flow is one direction and everyone knows why, no need for rhetorical circlejerking there's no concern about being treated "fairly & equally" there's certainty that the civilization which invented humane treatment is being replaced by cultures that don't even have words for it
What’s wrong with being a “minority,” I thought they were treated fairly & equally?

Folks, the level of destruction in altcoins land, is FTX grade. Coins have been shown to be no bid when the market makers switch off, no serious investor can own them, and it just nuked the few retail traders remaining If you think altseason is coming now, Id suggest a rethink.
