The future of global logistics is autonomous: supply chains that spot a problem, calculate the fix, and execute it. Today we're announcing Flexport's latest technology release, and it's the biggest step we've taken toward that future. With AI, we’ve built more in the last six months than in the last two years.

On Friday, Founder and CEO @typesfast joined @BloombergTV to explain how AI is reshaping global logistics. He also covered our latest technology release, what’s moving diesel prices, and where freight costs stand today.
Last week, hundreds of customers joined us at @TerraneaResort for Flexport Forward, our annual customer conference. Over three days, we explored artificial intelligence (AI), the future of global trade, and leading through volatility, with hands-on learning sessions. 🧵
5/ A big thank you to our guest and customer speakers:
@fbinegotiator, @SoumayaKeynes, @rorysutherland, Marco Bloemen, George Goldman, Steve Karasek, John Pitt, Craig Pettit, and Jonathan Alejandro.
And thank you to every customer who made this year's Forward unforgettable.
4/ To close out the event, attendees played golf, flew by helicopter to our San Bernardino warehouse, and toured the @portoflongbeach by boat to see global logistics up close.
3/ Outside the sessions, the energy stayed high. Attendees started each morning with walk and run clubs and industry coffee chats. At night, they celebrated our customer award winners, danced to a 90s rock band, and watched magic from @foodiemagician, The Foodie Magician.
2/ We also unveiled our 2026 Fall Technology Release: the Flexport Model Context Protocol (MCP) Server, a fleet of AI agents, upgrades to Flexport Atlas, and new AI customs technology.

3/ Three upgrades shipped with our latest tech release:
- Multimodal coverage: Air, rail, and barge join ocean, with freighter-only filters and tail number lookup for any flight.
- Emissions for ocean shipments: Every ocean route shows estimated carbon dioxide equivalent (CO2e) per container right in the search results, next to carrier and transit time. It comes from the same engine behind our certified customer emissions reporting, so what you see reconciles with what you eventually report.
- A live disruption layer: Flexport Atlas tags vessels and news to specific risk zones and reads every vessel's status live, so you can see what could disrupt or delay your shipments.
4/ Flexport Atlas is free and open to anyone. Explore the world of trade here: atlas.flexport.com
Flexport's AI agents can now book freight, track shipments, & sort customs paperwork directly from Claude, ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Muse or your own agents, no logging into our platform required. Amid shifting tariffs and tightening margins, this kind of automation is giving small businesses back the time they'd otherwise spend untangling logistics.
