GTJ deal is lose-lose: either he plays for optics ahead of 1 of Burries/Kas/AJ (which undermines the culture you’re trying to build) or you do right thing but underscore that deal was pre-negotiated. Guessing Jenkins gives GTJ some run in AJ’s spot to split difference at some pt

@fmaddenNBA why are we making ourselves look guiltier by the day with this strategy??

Recapped Taylor Jenkins’ first victory as head coach of the Milwaukee Bucks with @JustinGarciaNBA, plus talked Nate Ament playing meaningful minutes, Rollins/Hali renewing acquaintances, and enjoying the Brewers knocking on the door of history youtu.be/mDSI_VIlX70?is=qbQ9…

The Brewers longest win streak during the regular season was…5 games. Consistency was their brand en route to 103 wins, but to get to this level against the Padres, Dodgers and Rays is something else.
The Brewers 8-game playoff win streak is tied for the longest winning streak ever within a single postseason according to MLB's postgame notes.

Good news: Bucks have been frisky in the first two games Bad news: they’re now 0-2 against the Bulls/Wiz and their next 16 games are all against likely playoff teams before they get the Nets on November 25.

Bucks need an athletic PF who can score and rebound — scanning potential 2027 FAs I see an obvious target for the Bucks with their $60m+ in potential cap room…
Renting Giannis to Miami for a year to build a team in his absence was a brilliant move by the Bucks front office

Talked with @JustinGarciaNBA about the KPJ departure, the expanded opportunity it means for Burries/Kas, and a bit about the Bucks’ long-term cap picture: youtu.be/lbtriaAhggw?is=L2m0…

Updated Bucks cap snapshot post-KPJ/Nance moves: • 27/27: $12.7m under tax and $16.5m under hard cap (1st apron) • 27/28: ~$65m under cap before any holds/new contracts for Rollins, Jacquez & Herro. Practical cap room 0 with all of them, closer to $40m w/only Rollins/JJJ holds.

KPJ is very talented and has been on his best behavior since arriving in MKE, but the obvious takeaway is that a) prioritizing Burries & Jakucionas is key and b) there wasn’t a trade market for KPJ (not surprising given his opt-in and the lack of buzz about other suitors)
The Milwaukee Bucks have waived guard Kevin Porter Jr., sources tell ESPN.

Brewers WS prices have made me feel incredibly fortunate that I was able to take my dad to see the Bucks win game 6 in 2021 for “only” $850/ticket. Worst seats I’ve ever had for a Bucks game…and the most fun night of my life.
