Impressive numbers for one game night on the @helium network. No matter the storm you know @AlabamaFTBL and @GeorgiaFootball were going to show up and duel it out. Shout out to @CellDwellReal for securing this quality deployment 🫡
The largest retailer-owned grocery co-op in the US just turned its store Wi-Fi into a revenue stream.
Wakefern is a $20.7B business with 48 member companies and ~365 supermarkets across nine states. ShopRite, Price Rite, The Fresh Grocer, Fairway Market, Gourmet Garage.
The first stores are now live on the Helium Network, with more to follow.
Supermarkets are brutal for cell signal. Concrete, steel racking, rows of freezers. The traditional fix is a DAS, and the math rarely works for a grocery store.
So Wakefern is using what it already owns. Shoppers’ phones hop onto store Wi-Fi automatically. No app, no sign-in. The stores earn as carrier traffic moves over.

In many places, not having a signal is an annoyance. In a hospital, it cuts people off when connection matters most.
A health system with 23 hospitals across Missouri, Illinois, Oklahoma, and Wisconsin now uses the Wi-Fi it already owns to carry mobile traffic on the Helium Network, so patients and families stay connected.
🏥 Indoor coverage for the health system without the capex.
💪 145+ TB mobile data carried in the first week of being live.

INSIGHTS⚡️ Helium sold the consumer mobile brand and refocused on being the wholesale network underneath other carriers.
That is a strategic narrowing. In our assessment, being infrastructure for AT&T-scale offload is a clearer job than trying to also be a high-street phone company.

I have to say, since I switched my seeker to helium when I got it, I will never use another mobile carrier again. even if I had a different phone
Mustang Public Schools in Oklahoma put 14 sites on the Helium Network before the first bell rang.
By the end of this past August:
👉 3.4 TB moved
👉 ~65,000 sessions
👉 2,067 people connected in a single day at the high school.
No new hardware. Phones just connected automatically to Wi-Fi the district already owned.

Waimea Valley, Oahu — an 1,800-acre conservation area where carriers never built — now has mobile coverage.
A two-person @helium team put up 14 access points in ~3 months.
1,206 devices/day connected.
What kind of location gets Helium coverage next?

Today we're also opening the weights for Muse Glimmer, a great 30B parameter dense model that can run locally. Soon we'll also release the weights for Muse Spark 1.2, our latest foundation model. Meta is a strong supporter of open source and I'm proud of these releases. Congrats to @alexandr_wang and the MSL team for all your great work on these models.
.@SpaceX just spent $19.6B on 65 MHz of spectrum and said it will build its mobile network with small cells on rooftops instead of towers, saying explicitly, “you deploy that as you need it.”
Sound familiar?
The most valuable private company in the world looked at the macro tower model and...passed.
Their plan? Distributed radios on buildings, deployed incrementally, close to where people actually use data.
It’s an endorsement of decentralized networks by the biggest challenger to traditional telco.
Do satellites solve the universal connectivity problem? Not entirely on their own.
Satellites are are good at covering things like oceans, highways, rural dead zones, and disaster areas. But what physics will not let them do is deliver capacity indoors, where most mobile data is actually consumed. Satellite signals do not pass through buildings, and 65 MHz stretched across a continent cannot carry a city at rush hour.
Indoor connectivity has to be built from the ground up. Radio by radio, building by building, by people who are already there. It is the hardest part of wireless to replicate and the one part satellites fall short.
So to @SpaceX @Starlink @Gwynne_Shotwell, welcome to decentralized wireless infrastructure! You handle the sky and when your customers walk inside, the @helium Network is already there for a smooth handoff 🤝.

For my first post, I’m sharing a letter @NVIDIA signed on why open models matter.
AI will transform every industry, power every company, and be built by every country.
Open models strengthen safety and cybersecurity, accelerate innovation and diffusion, and enable sovereignty.
The world needs both frontier closed models and frontier open models.

Today marks a major milestone for BAT.
We're thrilled to introduce BAT Roadmap 4.0.
As the Web evolves, we're expanding $BAT utility beyond browser rewards into payments, commerce, AI, and everyday transactions.
Here's what's coming. ↓
Thanks to Helium, the City of Redondo Beach in California just solved a years-long connectivity dead zone at its pier without a single new tower.
1M+ visitors a year. Near-zero cell coverage. Not because the technology didn't exist, but because the traditional model for building coverage makes problems like this too expensive and too slow to fix.
A local deployer saw the gap, deployed Helium coverage, now thousands of people connect through the Network daily. No towers. No massive upfront buildout. Locally owned and earned from the traffic it carries.
That's what happens when you distribute infrastructure to the people who see the gaps firsthand.

Closing out the week with fresh Expansion Zones...and this batch goes places 🗺️.
Airports. Museums. Zoos. Mt. Rushmore.
There's demand for connectivity in these locations. Helium can supply it.
