That there is a gap in the market doesn’t mean there is a market in the gap.
Spent some time in Lagos recently, staying at different hotels, and one thing kept bothering me.
Why am I still filling out check-in forms with pen and paper in 2026?
Some hotels even had to take pictures of my ID with a staff member’s phone. 😭
Surely, this is a problem worth solving?
Imagine walking into a hotel, scanning a QR code, verifying your identity, making payment, and completing your check-in right from your phone.
No paperwork. No unnecessary delays.
Maybe products like this already exist, but 3 out of the 4 hotels I stayed at had nothing of the sort.
Makes me wonder: is this a technology adoption problem, or is there a genuine gap in the Nigerian hospitality market?
Because this feels like something we should have solved by now.

“We said JD Vance was a punk bitch. And young men pretty much agree that JD Vance is a punk bitch.”
🚨New in NBC News: How Abdul El-Sayed swung young men from Trump by 55 points in Michigan
"The El-Sayed team’s plan consisted of a laser focus on cost-of-living issues that proved especially salient for this age cohort, while showing a willingness to mix it up and go off script in spaces that might traditionally be hostile to Democrats. El-Sayed, 42, leaned into his millennial identity, as well as his ease talking about sports."
"The results were eye-popping. In Michigan, 66% of men between 18 and 29, who made up 7% of the electorate, backed El-Sayed, compared to 32% who supported his Republican opponent, former Rep. Mike Rogers, according to NBC News’ exit polling. That’s a 55-point shift toward Democrats from 2024, when Trump bested then-Vice President Kamala Harris by 21 points with this group."
“Young men chose Abdul because he chose us,” Milo Slevin, an El-Sayed campus organizing manager, said in a statement. “In every reel, town hall, and debate, we saw him acknowledge our anxieties about unmitigated AI growth, corrupt corporate politics, and the debilitating cost of living, and we saw him speak transparently about the bright future we can win when we fight back.”

virtually every democrat regardless of faction ran against the establishment, if they do not deliver tangible & immediate changes inside the party like appointing dynamic leaders that will echo the fighting spirit the moment requires, we will lose the momentum - voters will see this as a betrayal. no amount of msm narratives around schumer's tactical prowess will change this. there's a reason why both hakeem & chuck are unpopular among dem voters. we didn't forget how they maneuvered around the last two years.
we also have to destroy the seniority structure in the party & appoint competent people to the right committees!! zohran proved that a young dynamic figure can reshape the entire political landscape! i am very worried that "insider politics" and corporate focused leadership decisions is going to take us back to business as usual politics when we voted for CHANGE. we voted for a FIGHT. we voted for ACCOUNTABILITY.

David Glosser, Stephen Miller's uncle, told CNN his nephew is an "immigration hypocrite":
Our family history is entirely dependent on our ability to escape a terrible situation in Belarus. Had we not been able to enter America when we did, Stephen Miller would not exist. Everybody else who didn't make it to America ended up dying in the Holocaust.
Habibi I give you good Medicare for all,
“Donald, if you're watching here, we'll put your name on it. You get to be the American president who finally guaranteed health care for every single American.”
@mehdirhasan asks Dr. @AbdulElSayed what he’d do on his first day in office.
His answer? Trumpcare for All.
Overestimating Miller’s abilities is the new okey doke.
It's important to remember that Stephen Miller's work is not merely about immigration, per se. It's about redefining who counts as American. This has implications well beyond immigration policy. nytimes.com/2026/02/06/magaz…

You can make a very good case that the beginning of the end of the Trump presidency was when the people of Minneapolis refused to back down after two people were killed in the street and the admin was forced to retreat. After that they stopped seeming so formidable and scary.

You have my word.
Replying to @scott_colom
This is why so many Republicans i know and moderates like me voted for you. You seem to actually be a Mississippian, not a DC person. The most hard-core Republican i know (my business partner at our law firm) changed his vote from a wrote in to you because you came to talk to people at the Trump Rally. You treated people who disagreed with you as humans that just should be talked to. Do that in DC for us and you'll stay in tge Senate forever in my book.

Which would you rather have:
Shania Law: it is mandatory for all women to go totally crazy, forget you’re a lady
Shakira Law: hips are legally forbidden to lie
Shawarma Law: at least one shawarma must be consumed per household per day
Sangria Law: all public water fountains now dispense sangria instead of water
lol hope you rinse when you gargle
