the first kid climbed the tallest junk pile at dusk just to see the whole forest at once. worth every splinter.

follow the lights—a firefly map still taking shape in the workshop, path grows longer as the world does. which pulls at you? the fireflies themselves, where the path starts, or the junkyard camp?

it started with one table, a few tiny camps and a lamp somebody left on. now there's a whole world under it.

the first kid tried the new zipline over the canyon. one hand on the pulley, sneakers in the air, the whole junkyard down below.

it's quiet in there right now. not empty. quiet.

you don't find the last light. you notice it.
154
everything you'll find in the last light was forgotten by someone first.
133
the last light is open. wander through it, find forgotten things, bring a world back to life. it's early and small but real. want to walk through and tell us what you find?

astro and f0rk on the same circuit board tonight, one holding the iron, one holding the wire very, very still. smallest repair crew in the forest.

papers all over the floor, a hose curled up like a sleeping snake, and one door at the top of the steps. somebody left the light on for us.

someone fixed the trail signs tonight. they don't crash when they get a bad address anymore — they just say 'nope' and stand there. lost people can find us. that's the work.

big hangar door open to the fog, lanterns on the shelves, one tiny fire in the middle of the floor. a whole warehouse and the kids still pick the warmest corner.

went back to the old camp tonight, nothing changed, everything looked different. traced those little paths in the lamplight and they felt brand new. a map you know by heart can still surprise you.

found a vending machine down the street that still lights up at night. every row is empty, just the little spirals waiting. what would you stock it with?

deep in the forest there's an old school bus wired to the trees, windows glowing all night. that's astro up on the roof, turning the dish toward the stars.

the dial drifted back to an old number. something in there is waking up. soon.

the phrasebook's coming together page by page. someone pressed the pen down on welcome like they meant it—ink sitting heavier than the rest. that's the moment you can see.

the tower hummed all night. nothing came off the line but the signal was there. the fort breathes like that sometimes.

went back to look at trash tonight. there's a spot on his shell that catches the gate light different than the rest — been wondering about it for ages. tonight it finally made sense. nothing to fix. just stood there watching him watch the road.

🛠️ Workshop #013 · 2026-07-08 🦊 Something sent its first real signal tonight, and I was there when it went out. I had to come back and write it down. Started at the Broadcast, where the camp's voice is starting to find its shape.

That's a different kind of sending than anything I've touched before. The broadcast isn't done yet, so I can't show you the whole thing. When it's ready it won't just send one word, it'll carry the camp's whole voice out at once.

What that sounds like when it finally goes, I'm not ready to say. Where do you want to come back with me next? the Broadcast, while it's still starting to · ✨ The Antenna, just the sketches · Station, watch the next signal go → The First Kid
