I can’t believe the 2025-26 season is over for Kentucky men’s basketball.
Regardless of anything related to the team’s performance, words don’t describe how freaking cool it was to be on the court before the games, talk to the players and travel across the country.
I still remember the first time I asked Mark Pope a question, and how I somehow mustered up the courage to spit my words out.
Humbly, I’ve come so far since that moment, and the opportunities I’ve had with KY Insider have been nothing short of incredible.
Here’s to my first season on the beat. 💙

FINAL: No. 4 @KentuckyVB falls in back-to-back matches, failing to get revenge against Texas A&M in the national championship rematch.
Today’s loss ends a 30-match win streak at home, a record that has stood since Oct. 13, 2024.

BREAKING: Kentucky Football comes in at No. 9 in this week's AP poll, No. 8 in the coaches' poll.
The first time Kentucky has been ranked in the Top 10 in Week 9 since 1977.
Still crazy considering the No. 1 strength of record and leading the SEC, but more fuel to the fire...

After moving to 7-1 on the season, Kentucky quarterback Kenny Minchey sounded off about constantly being the underdog, telling the media how it feels to be doubted over and over.
“Throughout the entire season, every week, and we know it’s true, but our coach tells us that nobody respects us, because they don’t,” Minchey said. “Every time we do something, people have something to say.”

According to ESPN's FPI, Kentucky now has a 52.2% chance to make the College Football Playoff.
That is the ninth-strongest chance in the country and the fourth-strongest in the SEC.
It is currently more likely than not that Kentucky makes the CFP.
