Nothing’s perfect when it comes to women’s wrestling in major American promotions. I have been & will continue to be critical of how some things are handled but there has been a lot of progress lately & it’s almost insulting to some of the talent to act like it’s not significant.

Six months ago, the division had no clear midcard and very little starpower at the top. Now it has both of those things, superb match quality since the Owen tournament began, and multiple people have been elevated up the card in the wake of injuries and hiatuses.

There is ALWAYS progress to be made but the AEW women’s division is arguably stronger & more balanced than it’s ever been. I think Mercedes has been utilized very well as QB1 of the division considering she’s still actively working through an injury. Just my two cents though 🤷🏾♀️

Information has trickled out through those on the flight, a lawsuit filing, and George Barrios speaking on it

AEW made the RIGHT move making Queen Aminata the new TBS Champion.
She has improved, connected with the audience, and earned this opportunity. Now give her consistent TV time, meaningful stories, and a strong championship reign.
Who should challenge her first?
