FROST needs 2 rounds.
Most implementations run each round at signing time.
Frostr v2 uses persistent Nostr relay connections that keep signers hydrated with nonce commitments in the background.
Time to sign? Round 1 is already done.
Same protocol. Same security. Near instant!
Split key into shares.
M-of-N signs.
No single party ever holds the complete key.
The signature that comes out is a standard BIP-340 Schnorr.
Indistinguishable from a single signer.
Nobody ever knows...

@frostr_org, could you implement a Frostr AI skill to help builders implement use cases like Frostr powered sign in/up on Nostr clients? @bitcoinplebdev

Agents don't need full key access.
They need scoped access, clear boundaries, and a signer flow that doesn't break under real use.
We have frostr signers in basically EVERY app environment!
Now we are working on making them easier / more performant with the upcoming V2 of our protocol.
Updates soon!

Imagine the possibilities...
Igloo Signer is now on iOS App Store!
This first release is intentionally simple and for early adopters:
a background signer powered by our background soundscape approach (works with any existing Frostr keyset)
Next up:
• in-app signing
• major V2 protocol improvements
Frostr today is the BEST way to give an agent limited and scoped access to your NSEC
Gonna be streamlining this soon
Igloo Desktop v1.0.3 is out ❄️

Agreed!
Wrote up a draft spec on key management for agents here
Basically a user could have their own "owned" agents that share the user's keys, or can create "sovereign" agents that control their own keys split up via @frostr_org so no humans can exfil
