Metro Manila’s water allocation will be reduced starting October as the government prepares for the potential impact of Super El Niño.
The National Water Resources Board will cut the allocation for Metro Manila from 50–53 cubic meters per second to 44 cubic meters per second. The agency is also urging water providers to tap alternative sources and the public to manage water use as it seeks to conserve Angat Dam’s supply.
