Trans people deserve respect in and of themselves!! I know it's tempting to use another word/phrase perceived as having more cahce/validity, but trust me, the world doesn't actually treat intersex people much better, so you are not actually gaining anything by doing this!

All doing this achieves is muddying the waters. Yes, some trans people are intersex and some intersex people are trans. But not all are! My genitals are a weird shape because of my condition, I deserve a word for that that's separate from how I express/understand my gender.
