Btw, we're going to have a 7-2 SCOTUS for the next 40 years. Any hope of any progress in civil rights or in progressive policy is completely and utterly dead.

As long as I live, I will never understand why a single human being would vote for Trump.

It’s really depressing to see how many people voted for the felon, rapist, fraudster, who lies constantly. Many Americans failed their fellow Americans tonight.

Every now and then I revisit that The Newsroom America speech in my mind. I’m thinking of it tonight. We are not an exceptional country as a whole. Far from it.

A record which was, by any objective standard, the absolute best in the world. The only conclusion one is left with is this is a supremely stupid country. Not exceptional. Not exemplary. Just stupid. Hateful. Small. Reckless. Ignorant. Cursed.
The overall story, so far: Nothing here looks like a story of various campaign decisions or a VP choice or big set piece speeches. It's an electorate mad at the incumbent WH's record and expressing it pretty uniformly everywhere, blue and red states alike.

so embarrassing to support trump at this point, like folks got tricked once in 2015 and instead of admitting it, made it their entire personality

Reasons I can think why @PatricioOWard is actually as famous as he thinks he is while I’m sitting on couch. 1. Has fan bases so loud that when they chant we can’t actually complete an engineering debrief. In Portland of all places. 2. Needs his own merchandise tent because people buy out the official one of all his gear. 3. Specific team only activations in Hispanic neighborhoods that I have attended and have been made to feel like a superstar just because I’m next to Pato. 4. Has 6x social media following of 🇺🇸 500 winner. 5. The only driver that I know of that (despite his questionable taste) can have a partnership and make inroads with the fashion industry. 6. Has a jet. (Kidding.)

If you are voting for trump because you are worried about the economy, then you have no understanding of how how the economy works.

I can’t think about Joe Biden without tearing up a little. This man ran for president 5 times and lost then enthusiastically backed Obama and played the establishment number two to the greatest leader of his generation. He wanted to run for president in 2016 but couldn’t because his son Beau died and he was too wracked with grief. So he comes back in 2020, saves the country from Donald Trump and despite being a career centrist, proceeds to have the most pro-union, pro-working class administration in 80 years, pulls the country out of Covid, pulls us from the economic disaster of Trump into the best economy in the world. He’s then betrayed by the media class and has to drop out because he’s too old for them. He steps down, for the good of the country, and immediately turns around and full-throatedly endorses the the first Black woman Presidential candidate finalist in U.S. history. This man.

Thankful for the Aero screen or else I wouldn’t be writing this right now. Sorry to my team and all involved by no fault of their own. As for the incident… maybe next time at least throw a local yellow when a car is in the most dangerous spot possible @IndyCar ? Just a thought
