In 2 billion years our sun will burn out. Meaning that California will have to finish the High Speed Rail in the dark.

This was me as a little girl, forced into hijab. And this is me after I broke free. In Iran, I was told: wear the hijab or be kicked out of school. Resist, and you can be arrested, beaten, lashed, or imprisoned, or killed it in the hand of morality Police. Then I came to the West and was told: be careful telling your story, it might cause “Islamophobia.” I am a woman from the Middle East. I have lived under Islamist ideology. I have every right to fear it, criticize it, and speak about it. Don’t silence us in the name of tolerance. Let us talk.
To those who say "it's her choice" I used to say the same thing about my own Hijab. I was covered head to toe. Even on the beach. Even with my male relatives. And when people challenged me, I said: this is my choice. You know why? Because the other option was burning in hell, hung by my hair for eternity. That's what they taught me since childhood. Yes, let me repeat it for you to just understand about our version of “freedom of choice.” I grew up in an Islamist culture that gave me two options. Cover yourself and go to heaven. Or don't cover, and be hanged by your hair and burned in hell. Like when someone puts a gun to your head and says "you can go left or right", technically, yes, that's a choice. I picked heaven. I called it freedom. And I believed it, because that's what happens when fear is all you've ever known. And if you think I shouldn't be telling you my story, I don't care. I really, genuinely, from the bottom of my heart, don't care. The women still living under that "choice"? I care about them. #LetUsTalk

How can we save the Iranian women and men from their genocidal government.
‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️ The Terrorist Regime is about to execute its daughters. Most of them are still teenagers. Melika Azizi, 18 Niloufar Esfahani, 18 Diana Taherabadi, 16 Saghar Gholami, 18 Arghavan Fallahi, 25 Romina Rahimi & Taraneh Rahimi, 18 Their only crime was wanting to live free. Say their names. Share their faces. Silence kills. Awareness can still save them. #StopExecutionsInIran

Every morning I write about someone Iran just executed, within minutes, a message arrives a mother, a sister, a friend, begging me to write about their loved one who is on the death row. Before it's too late. This is why I want to write before the execution of this young woman, not after. Arghavan Fallahi. 24 years old. Evin Prison. Sentenced to death. Judge Salavati one of Iran's most notorious hanging judges, sentenced her under "Baghi," armed rebellion. During months in solitary confinement, she was subjected to severe psychological torture and pressure to make forced confessions. But she refused. So they sentenced her to death anyway. Fellow female prisoners who were with Arghavan inside Evin say her situation is urgent. The torture has left her with severe psychological trauma and physical illness. She is not just facing the death sentence, she is suffering right now, inside that cell. But is still alive and is still time to save her life. Please join me and help us Iranians to say her name now and demand international community and the leader leaders of the world to put pressure on these that republic to stop them from executing her and other political prisoners. #StopExecutionsInIran

Over 350 Christians, including up to 60 children, were massacred and burned alive by Islamists in Nigeria between the 5th and 6th of July. Entire communities were slaughtered, churches burned and destroyed. And yet complete silence from the world, and no word from the UN.

How did the Goldfinch win a Pulitzer?? 32 hours on audiobook, sped up the reading and still can’t wait for it to be over! IMO it’s not an engrossing storyline. Some sort of new and really drawn out Catcher in the Rye. I hate almost all the characters. When will this book end?!?!

Watching Shahs of Sunset and I want to like Destiney but she is annoying. When is she not crying and not blaming someone for something that has nothing to do with her?

She’s better than the males so I guess fragile egos do what they do. How can we save her?
🚨 URGENT: She’s been sentenced to be stoned to death in Afghanistan 🇦🇫 for being a woman Taekwondo 🥋 coach and training young women . Her name is Khadija Ahmadzada and she’s only 22 years old . 😡

The Iranian people are braver than any European or American communist who believes they are living through a struggle that exists mostly in their imagination.

I stand with the Iranian people.
Today, the line is crystal clear. You either stand with us, the Iranian people against a tyrannical, terrorist regime,or you stand with the regime that shoots, arrests, and tortures our people. Unarmed young women and men are walking into the streets knowing exactly what awaits them: bullets, prisons, and brutality. History is taking notes on who you choose to stand with today. Fuck Islamic terrorism.

Emily and Gina are not good pot stirrers on #RHOC. They keep stirring the same pot and each time they try to stir it’s such a stilted and unnatural convo. Gina is better as someone who reacts to the pot stirring. Emily…IDK what to do with her.
