Our @SLU_Official team in @SLU_SOE and @SLU_PRIME are grateful to be part of this convening, where the entire conversation was focused on recognizing schools that foster excellent student academic growth each year!
Last night was a GREAT night for education! We must continue to celebrate success in our schools. Gateway to Success Foundation announced they will be awarding St. Louis schools that show academic excellence in growth in February. Thank you to the foundation for its leadership!

Really enjoyed collaborating with colleagues from @SLU_SOE and across the country in an attempt to gather actual student views on this very heated question ... much of the discussion up to this point has been relatively data-free!
📢 #EdWorkingPapers: Are classrooms hotbeds of indoctrination? @g_ritt, @BrianKisida, @CameronAnglum, @heidilauren1, J. Gontram, & M. Lee find limited evidence for claims about CRT and partisan bias. Classroom content mirrors local community values. 📄 bit.ly/4opxBmC

"Clearly, tensions run high when it comes to CRT and education. But to what extent are political attitudes about CRT, on both the right and the left, driven by anecdotes and perception, and to what extent are they grounded in fact?" bit.ly/40EU8Sq

How 'woke' are schools in the US? It's tricky to measure, but new data suggests people on both sides are largely talking past each other. Coverage of our new study in @educationweek @g_ritt @CameronAnglum @heidilauren1 edweek.org/teaching-learning…

Our new research in @EducationNext surveys a national sample of HS students to shed light on the prevalence of CRT-related topics in schools, student opinions about these issues, & who influences their politics. @g_ritt @CameronAnglum @heidilauren1

November 22 will never be just another day on the calendar for some of us. The memory of the shock, the tears, and the holding on to one another stays with us. JFK had numerous personal frailties, as we know now. But he uplifted our dreams and hopes.

Terrific (and concise) commentary piece, by Dr. Courtney Vahle of @SLU_PRIME and @SLU_SOE, on simple policy changes to support high school student learning. Bonus points for incorporating data from @SLUPoll!

We need to tell this story more. This is certainly what we share with our aspiring educators in @SLU_SOE! You will make a difference, you can find work anywhere in the country, you can take on leadership roles, and you have a secure job that pays more than you think!
