I treat this VM like my cold wallet, much like the dedicated disconnected phone, and with a very short URL whitelist for that chrome instance. This VM setup allows me to copy/paste but otherwise be naturally sandboxed from the host with low exposure.

I don't want to promote my current method as feasible for most people, because it's technically challenging to do well, but for wallet storage I use a dedicated VM with Rabby in Chrome, and the VM vdisk is encrypted. Yes, lots of attack vectors, don't try this at home.
