Friday night might be time for beers for the office workers in London, but for us, it's a quick trip to the Department for Transport to help shred a few more #Gatwick #Drone related documents.
You never know if the ICO will ever decide to visit.

Some nugget put in a Freedom of Information request about this year's Gatwick Airport drone incident which the press alleged was balloons.
This is a pain as it meant replying with "can neither confirm nor deny" plus it meant dealing with CCTV & counter drone server backups!
The Met Police are alarmed about the cells overcrowding if officers were to see crimes at the Gaza protests.
We've tasked the commander that was responsible for ensuring that no errors were found with the handling of the Gatwick Drone incident to ensure nothing is seen.

To think we ended up burning more files on hearing that #Dispatches had a mystery story. Phew, what a relief it wasn't Gatwick.
The backup hard drives accidentally fell out of the server and smashed to pieces. The CCTV camera in the server room happened to malfunction at the same time.
That's the thing with coincidences, there are none for ages, then three come along at once.
A recent Freedom of Information has found that the Transport Security Operations Centre at the UK's Department for Transport seem to have accidentally d̶e̶l̶e̶t̶e̶d̶ lost the only images captured of the suspected #Gatwick #Drone in 2018.

We've received a copy of the Dublin Airport Aircraft Identification Guide and while we're not all detectives, we think we've figured out the drone problem.
#DublinDrone
We're hearing a rumour that the counter drone system at Dublin Airport was bought off eBay for €149, there's now a suspicion it might just be a red light bulb.

Hey @DublinAirport if you need an elite team of officers to kick in doors to b̶e̶a̶t̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶l̶i̶v̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶d̶a̶y̶l̶i̶g̶h̶t̶s̶ ̶o̶u̶t̶ ̶o̶f̶ arrest anyone in #Dublin that has ever owned a #drone then message us.

It's striking how American forces are so well equipped, they have binoculars and telephoto lenses to see the #ChineseSpyBalloon.
Whereas at #Gatwick in 2018 we'd to simply speculate each light was a drone and obviously not at all helicopter navigation lights.
We noticed a northern #drone owner was uploading YouTube videos of flights near the River Mersey. We were unsure if the flights were entirely legal or not, so we sent around a local unit for a polite word.
Minimum force was used.
A local NIMBY was complaining about a #drone user flying around to film sunsets, given this clear nuisance we sent a team around to explain the drone laws.
Naturally, minimum force was used.
Our unit received a call from the security team reporting an attack on the airport by a swarm of white drones.
Upon investigation, it turned out to be snow. 🙈

One of our officers was trolled on Facebook by a drone owner, we tracked his IP address to the town of Grimsby.
As such we applied to the Secretary of State for Transport for a temporary airspace restriction against drones for the whole of summer for the entire of Grimsby.
