Academic decision algorithm v 7.0- a testament to #SocialMedia peer review, as all versions past 1.0 were improved upon by feedback from colleagues on @twitter. This edition improved by @JRandallCurtis1. There is a descriptive publication here somewhere...

For those of us who worked in ICUs during COVID, watching the character assassination of a leader who strove to provide counsel through a crisis has been deeply painful.
It is even more disheartening when such rhetoric comes directly from a trustee of your own university.

I haven't done a thread on here in awhile
Let's do one about governmental decision-making, priorities, and morality
I'm looking at you, Indiana
Here we go, a quick thread
1/
So we announce over the course of 2 weeks
A massive unexpected surplus
And a refusal to participate in a program to help feed poor children that cost a rounding error of this surplus
This says a lot about the priorities of Indiana leaders
5/
I don't know why Indiana is allergic to helping food-insecure families
It is not that we don't have the money
IMO government has become much more of a mechanism to redistribute money from poor people to rich people

No
No you are not
Me, to my 11 yo son: What is the youngest age that you consider old?
11: How old are you?
Me: 48
11: 48

Indiana senate killed HB 1032
We remain a gerrymandered state but mid-decade redistricting did not happen

It is crazy to me that the justification for re-gerrymandering in Indiana ("they are doing it so we have to as well") goes against what all of us teach our children
Bad behavior does not justify bad behavior
It just makes society worse
This statement should disqualify you from being on the committee
ACIP’s recommendations re Hep B vaccine reflect strong objection to vaccine mandates that prevent access to school & even clinical care from children not up to date with the vaccine schedule (including Hep B).
Children should have undeniable constitutional right to education!
Should the constitution be amended accordingly?
