a pill that's hard to swallow: wk1's mishandling of gw's case where he bore all consequences while parts of the fandom stood by thinking "well, as long as it's not my bias" created a situation where there are no direct or visible consequences for harassing this group. if something as serious as funeral wreaths, funeral portraits, forgery, identity theft, and literal violent physical and sexual threats were not only ignored but somehow rewarded in the end, do you really think antis would feel any kind of hesitation or remorse to leave hate posts or comments? and continuing to blame gw for everything wrong going on with the group (as if he's the one allowing antis to send members hate in their plus chat dms for example) will only help the company continue dodging responsibility as long as there is a scapegoat.
