Introducing Skills: teach the Framer agent how you work. Save instructions for your design system, writing style, or CMS workflow, then reuse them across tasks. Reference pages, components, and styles in your skills so the agent follows your designs. framer.com/skills

UI done ✅
All built directly in @framer with @cursor_ai.
Next step:
submission → payment → database → ranking
Now let’s do some testing.
I'm running a little experiment to see what's possible with @framer and AI.
I’m going to build one of these live leaderboards like outbid.lol on @getframeplate today.
Just Framer + Cursor (Grok 4.6)
I’ll document everything here so follow along.
First prompt is in 🔥

Community and Marketplace now share a single top bar. This update replaces the side, bottom, and nav bars with one navigation model, opens resource and post pages as full pages, and drastically cleans up categories. Read the full update notes: framer.com/updates/community…

My take on the whole @framer Marketplace thing (and what I think creators can do about it).
I’ve been using Framer for nearly 4 years and running @getframeplate for the past 3 where I’ve tried to give creators more exposure for their work.
But the reality is that the template business as we knew it is over.
And the best thing you can do is accept it.
Why would someone buy a $129 template if they can give a screenshot (or link) of a template to the Agent and ask it to build something similar?
The new Marketplace and the AI Agent launched on the same day and everyone seems to be fixating on the Marketplace.
Yes, opening the floodgates and the huge influx of new templates definitely affected visibility for existing creators.
But I don’t think this is only a discovery problem.
The Agent introduced a completely new workflow in which templates become secondary.
People no longer have to find a template, buy it and customise it. They can start with a prompt and just use existing templates as references.
You can also see this shift in how Framer now positions itself.
Its homepage is 100% centred around the Agent and clearly presents Framer as an AI website builder. No direct mentions of templates anymore. And just take a look at the ads they're running too.
That tells you where the company is going.
Framer went from competing mainly with Figma and Webflow to going after Lovable, Base44, Claude and every other AI site builder.
It might not have been the decision template creators wanted but it's the one they made.
And personally I believe it was the right one if Framer wants to remain competitive.
It’s simply the end of one era and the beginning of another.
So what can you do as a creator?
1. Turn your templates into free products or design systems that help people get better results from Framer Agent (you can still earn the affiliate commission)
2. Use the expertise you gained from shipping templates to teach people how to build with AI in Framer (ook at how many ads/sponsors Framer is running right now - go get your piece of the pie)
3. Move into client work and use AI to deliver better work faster (there will always be clients needing websites)
The opportunity hasn’t disappeared. It has just changed.

If sites built in @framer supported user accounts and visitor logins, what would you build first?

Framer charges API rates for AI credits.
Your $20 chatgpt plan already gives you ~$700/mo of subsidized tokens.
Why burn credits when you're already paying for cheaper ones?
Building a plugin to connect openai/cursor straight to @framer agents.

Agency owners, we need you!
If you have a beautiful website or you’re outside the design agency industry, we’d love for you to submit your website to us!
So far, we’ve received quite a lot of submissions, but many of them still don’t resonate with the standards of our agency gallery collection
We want it to be fully curated so that only the best agencies are featured
Even if we only have a few agencies, we don’t mind, as long as the standards are maintained
If this sounds like you, please, please, please submit your site at agencygallery.com/submit
