In 2016, Norwegian photographer and politician Claus Jørstad went viral after an IKEA stool trapped one of his testicles during a shower.
Jørstad had bought the plastic MARIUS stool because a knee injury made standing in the shower difficult.
Then came the problem.
According to his social media post, one testicle slipped through one of the stool’s drainage holes while he was sitting under hot water.
The heat caused it to swell.
Suddenly, he couldn’t get it back out.
Jørstad said he remained stuck until the hot water eventually ran out.
As the water turned cold, everything shrank enough for him to finally escape.
He then posted the entire story on IKEA Norway’s social media page.
