Suspected AI Faces Found in INEC Portal
INEC says it is investigating suspected AI-generated photographs in its preliminary voters' register after social media users raised the alarm.
The register was published on the commission's website on Monday. INEC says the online list is only the preliminary register, not the final certified copy and that the commission is examining possible technical or procedural lapses. The final register is due to be certified on December 15th.
Users also say the PVC Pickup option on INEC's voter portal keeps showing a "redirected you too many times" error, and our team's checks found the same.
