Det har förvisso lagts till tid i timplanen för många skolämnen, men den lektionstid som utnyttjas effektivt är betydligt mindre idag. I samband med en uppsatsskrivning t.ex. spelar eleverna på sina datorer så fort de är färdiga. Vi låter det ske, eftersom de inte stör de andra.

I find there can be a reflexive tendency to brush off these kind of claims as a (social)-media-driven moral panic. But I talk to a lot of profs at a lot of different schools and almost everyone paints the same picture: the kids know less, can do less, and are quasi-illiterate.
