The Alliance was proud to be part of the Center for Social Justice Immigrant Affairs Semester Immigration Forum on April 22. @CT State Housatonic
We were honored to host a table and share resources to all the students. Events like this create a safe and empowering space for individuals to learn, ask questions, and connect with the support they need.
Thank you to the Center for Social Justice, the immigration attorneys, and all partner organizations for your dedication and commitment to uplifting our community.
Alliance Early Learning recently hosted a Parent Support workshop on autism and autism awareness at the Jamie A. Hulley Early Learning Center. Families and staff from across all sites came together for an informative and engaging session led by Lauren Stevens, Senior Coordinator of Mental Health and Disabilities, and Jenny Aquino, Disability Manager.
The discussion covered key topics including early signs of autism, daily challenges, the importance of routines and early intervention, sensory needs, and an introduction to ABA therapy. Following the presentation, attendees participated in a Q&A panel and had the opportunity to connect and share experiences.
Breakfast was provided, and participants were entered into a raffle to win a sensory bin generously donated by Busy Buddies' Sensory Play.
Pictured here is a student from our Jamie A. Hulley Early Learning Center enjoying the sensory bin that his classroom teacher won at our recent Parent Support Meeting! The bin is filled with rice, sensory toys, cups, scoops, and fidget items perfect for hands-on exploration and sensory play.
We love seeing this resource being put to use right away and supporting meaningful learning experiences in the classroom!
Thank you to everyone who joined us, your participation made this event a great success!
