If you are not following what @realjakejacks is doing in Missouri you are missing out!
It’s not “inexplicable.” Missourians read your amendments, rejected them overwhelmingly, and now you’re insulting their intelligence for refusing to obey. Blaming fear and “foreign money” is easier than admitting you offered bad policy wrapped in arrogant salesmanship. The voters understood just fine. You didn’t.
Some things are inexplicable. Why would people vote against their best interest. Fear. We are not deterred by the results tonight. We know the majority of people want tax relief, and they want their children and grandchildren to stay in Missouri. Also, we know Missourians don’t want foreign money to write their constitution. But tonight that’s how they voted. Inexplicable. Onward!
