Today we're launching Rivet, a tool that explores dozens of interfaces with you.
- Start from your local agent
- Connect your design references
- See your directions in one place
I want Rivet to help you try bold ideas and creative risks.

So we’ve kept hosting Sunday Studio in SF to bring more designers together. The next one is this Sunday!
This time @chiquwch is doing a workshop on Swiss design. We're going to learn about the history and principles behind the movement and then make something inspired by it.
Let me know if you'd like to join!

getting to learn from people who just keep pushing the bar of their work to unseen heights is a privilege
a postcard confronts me with life’s beautiful impermanence when I leave my apartment
life is long yet short, never settle for doing something you don’t love
we're bringing our design cafe to NYC this Saturday!
inviting 50 of the most creative & curious designers we know
from the last time we did this:

violently difficult to compete with the person who cares not for an exit, but who sees that the reward is to get to keep playing the game
normalize designing stats cards for your pickup group
today I designed a page for my pickup soccer group
got inspired by old video game UIs (fifa 17 anyone?) so here's all the iterations I explored with @designrivet
I'm headed to LA this week!
would love to talk with people in design or creative tools
just DM or say hi!
maybe one of the reasons that great designers are rare is that it's exceedingly difficult to conjure great ideas from the void of ambiguity
I first pointed to raw experience as the answer but I actually suspect that preparation is
stars of other disciplines separate through their preparation: a michelin chef who meticulously arranges her ingredients in advance, an athlete who approaches sleep and recovery with religious fervor
a designer's version of preparation often means engaging in sufficient exploration
it's about doing the work, sketching out more ideas than anyone is asking you to, testing out iterations even if they appear doomed to fail
no iteration dies in vain, they stack and compound in unexpected, organic ways until you've left the void and arrived somewhere truly exciting instead
this particular train of thought inspired from a conversation with @cjmlgrto on design process this last week
