Just reviewed Jump taxi app T&Cs & privacy policy --and alas, there is much to be worried about.
First up, Jump promises there will be 'no fake fees', just 'the meter fare'. But the T&Cs tell another story...

Our wait is finally over… Tfl have approved the HJS TX4 retrofit system !
At this stage the approval does not determine the maximum permitted age for retrofitted vehicles, this matter is subject to a separate TfL policy decision. We will of course keep you updated.

London's taxi drivers have a reputation like no other thanks in large part to 'the knowledge', their almost encyclopedic recall of every street and building of importance.
Back in 1974, Nationwide's James Hogg met some of those aspiring to become suitably knowledgeable.

It’s time to talk about the deep house sound of the 1990s.
Deep house had been around since Mr Fingers’ “Can You Feel It?” but had faded.
Fast forward to 1994 and it was back – in the shape of a quirky, techno-jazz track from Austrian Patrick Pulsinger.

@newdawn75 explains why black cabs are important in London ‘It’s because they are accessible, drivers help you, they are easy to get in & out, there is lots of space for 🦮Nellie. Sarah is disgusted black cabs do not have access to all areas. This need to change. #CabsAcrossBank

Many thanks to @Gett_UK for tracking down the taxi containing my phone last night, and to Yasin the driver who brought it back from the other side of London at 2am. This is why I always use Black Cabs - they’re the best in the world. 👍

Public appeal: Got a retired cabbie called Peter as a regular. He had a mate called Bobby Cowe, aged 86-87. Peter lost contact with him and trying to find out if he's well.
Any help would be much appreciated
