On the left, *not* a Dartmoor pony. On the right, actual Dartmoor ponies. The photos used are a pretty good indicator as to who knows what they’re talking about and who is spreading conspiracy theories. The interesting part is why they are telling lies about murdering ponies. Quite simply, a number of established vested interests do not want to see nature restored on Dartmoor or any of our other woefully nature-depleted landscapes. They want no change, and for the public money to continue flowing no strings attached.

On the west coast for last few days. Much whining goes on about eagles and the damage they do to sheep. Little is ever said about the casual losses of stock in volume which litter the land and enable predators to feed - albeit on carcasses which may contain toxins.

Let's see how many of those MPs who attended Boxing Day hunt meets yesterday, defending trail hunting, will have the guts to condemn the BSV hunt today, openly fox hunting across the busy A30. None of the supporters who saw the fox warned the hunt staff that hounds were on a fox and none stepped in to warn traffic until we told them to. You don't even know half of it with this particular hunt, if they come through your village you can't even leave your front door unless you're a member of the hunt. They employ thugs to keep the public well away, even from public land. Local Police chiefs refuse to do anything!!!
