Tibo got community noted after FULLY denying the nerf ever happened and instead blamed users for fraud, but the screenshot of the note went viral anyway
So then he made another follow up post partially admitting it did happen, saying they’re “investigating”
But I suspect he added the word “BANKED resets” so people forget about the gaslighting and normies turbo like the post and make it viral
To maintain the illusion amongst the masses that OpenAI are the good guys who would never do such a thing
Narrative control
It's me again. I come bearing great news.
First of all, we have hit 20M active users for Codex some time this week. Second of all, this is cause for celebration and during the day we will credit every Codex and ChatGPT Work user with a BANKED reset that you can use at your own leisure. And we will have some other good news later too!
Now, on usage limits draining faster, while we're not seeing anything abnormal, we do take it incredibly seriously and there is an ongoing investigation. I will share if we do find anything and my below post is really a clarification on a specific pattern that we did see that I wanted to call out.
Go do something amazing today.
OpenAI is blaming users for fraud instead of admitting the nerf…
the gaslighting is insane
We've investigated a few messages about codex usage limits being different. That's not something we change without engaging the community and being transparent.
What we did see is that when talking to affected users many were using sub2api. Converting a subscription into api traffic to then re-serve or share across many users is not something we support and this type of usage gets flagged by our fraud-prevention systems.
You are completely fine if you use your subscription through Sign in With ChatGPT, either through the official clients or through one of the many OSS clients (Pi, OpenCode, ...) that support signing in with your account and using your included usage.

$200 A MONTH FOR ONE DAY OF USAGE.
OpenAI Pro is cooked. I burned my entire weekly GPT 5.6 Sol limit in a single day of Codex. 0% left. Reset is 5 days away.
This is not the OpenAI I used to know. They went from the best limits in AI to the worst.
Meanwhile SuperGrok Heavy lets me run Grok 4.6 all day and I barely touch 10% of my weekly.
Grok is winning on usage and it is not close.

I will be doing a video on this later this week, its been great for me so far
On Vast, the expensive mistake is winning the hardware race and losing the price race. GPU Autopilot is the agent that keeps @vast_ai listings repricing inside your floor before strong machines spend the day proving another host was faster. What triggers your first price move?

Quick note for my vast installer: When copying the install command from the Vast website, grab the 2nd command (Advanced users — standard installer). That is the original install command. Using the new vast install wizard can make mistakes as I just found out from a customer.

I wanted to share an update on how my AI Rig Rentals have been performing and what the roadmap looks like moving forward.
Right now, I’m running a total of eight rigs on Vast. Seven of those are NVIDIA RTX 3090 rigs built with 3900X CPUs, 64GB of memory, 2TB NVMEs, and the usual supporting hardware. Six of the seven are fully verified, while one rig that I rebuilt about two months ago has been renting consistently but still hasn’t passed verification again. If you want to see the fun rig build video, checkout the video here: youtu.be/J_8KQvltSaA
The eighth rig is my powerhouse: a 3‑GPU NVIDIA RTX 5090 setup, with an EPIC CPU and 256 GB of Memory, that has easily become my top earner! During the recent PEARL project hype, it was pulling in between $1.00 and $1.50 per hour per GPU, and even before that it was consistently around $0.90 per GPU per hour. This rig has plenty of room to grow, and that’s exactly the plan. If you want to see the full build, the video is here: youtu.be/HhGKF0PM_yE.
Looking ahead, I’m planning to sell off all of the RTX 3090s individually since they’re currently going for over $1100 each on eBay. I’ll also be selling the 64GB RAM kits and the 2TB NVMEs from those rigs. After that, I’ll convert the single‑GPU systems into more budget‑friendly builds using SSDs, lower‑end memory, and either an RTX 3060 or 3070, then list those complete rigs locally on Facebook Marketplace.
The profits from all of this will be rolled directly into expanding my 5090 fleet. In fact, I just picked up a Zotac RTX 5090 last week and plan to install it into the 3‑card rig later this week, turning it into an even stronger performer.
Overall, AI GPU rentals on @vast_ai have been fantastic, providing consistent weekly income and proving to be a solid part of my broader hardware strategy. A big shoutout goes to @gpuautopilot platform has made managing pricing, monitoring performance, and keeping rigs rented so much easier by staying competitive automatically. Go check it out and use code HOBBYIST100 for 1 Month Free!

Anyone else get a DC06 hammer miner from @Heliumdeploy and having issues with it? I have ran it for 2 weeks and the difficulty stays at 65.5k won't go past that. I have a DC02 that has reached 11g difficulty no issues. Does Hammer have new firmware out? I can only find dc02.
