Two years later a lot in my life has changed as my ALS has progressed.
One thing, however, has not changed: I still wake up every day believing that we can win this fight against ALS. So I hope you are still hopeful too @BarackObama.
Happy 4th all.
A story worth sharing: Twelve years ago, Brian joined my first presidential campaign. Two years ago, he was diagnosed with ALS and launched @iamalsorg to find a cure. Brian and Sandra wake up every day believing that we can win this fight—and that makes me hopeful, too.

My wish is for everyone to see and humanize these women. They were working so hard to survive and provide for their families and loved ones. They were someone’s mother or aunt or daughter or niece....and loved.
It breaks me that we have to ask for others to see us as human. – at New York, USA

What happened last night was a hate crime and we should all be treating it as such.
Listening to @alexismadrigal, you'd think he had been doing this gig forever instead of it being his very first time guest hosting on Forum!

After 1865, Jefferson Davis and his collaborators were never subjected to serious justice after leading the insurrection of the Civil War, and one of the ultimate results was the institutionalized racism of the next 155 years.

Regular people don’t care whether we pass something with 51 or 60 votes. It’s a pandemic and the largest economic contraction in 90 years. We must ignore those who call anything a Republican proposes a compromise, and anything a Democrat proposes partisan. We have to deliver.

Many of you asked me why I cleaned the Capitol on Jan 6. I want to show you this photo. This is my mom, an immigrant from Korea, bringing me to DC for the first time. She took me to the Capitol and taught me to love and care for this nation that gave us everything.
