EU Member States are serious about protecting the @IntlCrimCourt and a world governed by international law. In The Hague, I met ICC President Tomoko Akane to convey the EU’s strong support for the Court, its judges, and their work. The European Council has expressed its deep regret over the U.S. announcement to impose sanctions against the ICC and has urged to reverse them. The EU will use the next six months for dialogue, to find a solution and explore what more we can do to help the Court. The Sakharov Prize recognises the ICC’s vital work in giving victims of the gravest crimes a voice. The Court must remain able to pursue justice independently, free from pressure or intimidation.

Autsch! Antifaschisten in den AfD-Files – wegen einer Spende von einem Cent. Was zunächst absurd klingt, hat einen ernsten Hintergrund. Bereits im Dezember 2015 berichtete der SPIEGEL über eine Aktion, bei der Aktivisten die AfD mit massenhaften Ein-Cent-Spenden finanziell unter Druck setzen wollten. Fast elf Jahre später tauchen offenbar genau solche Zahlungen im geleakten AfD-Mailarchiv wieder auf – inklusive Klarnamen und Zahlungsinformationen. Ein Betroffener berichtet, wie er bei der Suche nach seinem eigenen Namen plötzlich eine PayPal-Spendenbestätigung über 0,01 Euro entdeckte. Erst nach dem ersten Schreck erinnerte er sich an die damalige Protestaktion. Die Ironie: Wer 2015 aus Protest einen Cent an die AfD überwies, kann 2026 in deren Datenbeständen als vermeintlicher Spender auftauchen. Doch dahinter steckt ein ernstes Datenschutzproblem: Das geleakte Archiv enthält offenbar auch personenbezogene Daten von Menschen, die sich ausdrücklich gegen die AfD engagierten. Eine Ein-Cent-Protestaktion von damals wird elf Jahre später zum unfreiwilligen digitalen Namensregister. Es gibt ein sehr einfaches Problem: So lange @ICJ / IGH, @UN ignoriert werden von der Weltgemeinschaft und diese keine eigene Durchsetzungsgewalt haben - sind Sie sinnlos. Staaten (auch DE) machen sich zu Komplizen wenn Sie es ignorieren. Das macht das Verhalten erst möglich.
