In terms of a sports opinion, this might be the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard
LeBron James was born to a 16-year-old single mother in Akron, Ohio. He bounced between friends just to have a place to sleep. Then this country handed him everything.
It gave him over $500 million in NBA salary and over $1 billion more in endorsements and business deals. Forbes puts his net worth at $1.4 billion. He was the first active NBA player in history to become a billionaire.
And when the national anthem plays for the country that made all of that possible, he can't give it two minutes of respect.
No hand over his heart. No standing still. He's goofing around, flailing his arms, flapping around, pretending to shoot a basketball, doing literally anything except honoring the flag that turned a kid from Akron into a billionaire.
That's not a protest. That's not a statement. That's just disrespect.
Millions of Americans work their whole lives and never see a fraction of what this country gave him. Men and women died so he could play a game for a living in front of sold-out arenas. The least he could do is stand there and act like it means something.

NBA Tipoff thoughts:
Pistons: If they get consistent outside shooting, it’s a dangerous squad
Sixers: Starting 5 looked real fluid; unbalanced roster and need better backup center, more depth
Thunder: Offense is faster, spacing is better w/o Dort and didn’t get worse on D
Horrible loss on the back end for SMU. Mustangs lose their second-leading tackler and team leader in PBUs for the year
BREAKING: Star SMU Safety Tyren Polley Jr. is out for the season, Rhett Lashlee tells
@SMUMustangsOn3
A huge loss for the Mustangs.
It's now even more important that SMU finds a way to get Ahmaad Moses back on the field.

Jayvon Thomas has created an island at CB for SMU this year.
The A&M transfer has been targeted just 12 times in 171 coverage snaps.
That's the fewest targets of any of the 104 FBS CBs who have played at least 170 coverage snaps this year.
SMU First half thoughts
- Kevin Jennings making very good decisions
- SMU has no answer for Virginia’s O Line
- Virginia really shortening the game (only 4 possessions for SMU)
- Aside from first 4th down call, SMU not beating itself
- BRENDAN BAIRD!

"Expanding the playoffs to 24 teams means that now 17% of college football teams will make the playoffs. In the NFL it's 44% and yet it's never killed our interest in the regular season."
@colincowherd doesn't buy that a 24-team playoff will kill college football

My rockstar wife gave birth a little before 7:30 this morning to our daughter, Cambria.
Her name means “full of expression,” and our Cami girl certainly is. She’s spent her first few hours on earth looking all around with big beautiful eyes and immense curiosity. We are blessed!
