Yes it clearly was a TD but you have to admit that Kyle Williams knocking the ball out of his own hands with his own knee is the most Kyle Williams thing ever.
THIS IS ONE OF THE WORST CALLS YOU WILL EVER SEE FROM NFL REFS. #Patriots WR Kyle Williams caught a touchdown pass, took FIVE STEPS into the end zone, and then the ball popped out. THE REFS RULED IT AN INCOMPLETE PASS. THIS IS RIDICULOUS.

I chose poorly. “Exorcist: Believer” (2023) dir by David Gordon Green (Halloween (2018)) w/ Leslie Odom Jr (Hamilton). A Coexist exorcism promoting community over faith, giving us a poorly lit mockery of the original. “The power of Hollywood secularism compels you!”

JFC man, MLK was telling Nichelle Nichols how important her role was to society. Our first Space Shuttle took its name from the series. The design aesthetic of early cell phones came from here. “Beam me up, Scotty” became overly widespread in popular vernacular. But please go on.
My hot take is that TNG, not TOS, made Star Trek into a true cultural phenomenon. Without TNG, it's just a fondly remembered, often prescient, occasionally schlocky 1960s sci-fi series and sequel movies. But TNG reinvented and elevated the show, creating the franchise.

People thinking Metallica’s One was an anti-war song are tourists. War was merely the backdrop. It was about the terror of being trapped inside one’s own body. “Johnny Got His Gun” was anti-war but Metallica’s focus strayed from the book’s message and focused on his condition.
As I said, you never really listened to old Metallica, else you would know that once they were political. One of their most famous songs is "One", an anti-war song. youtube.com/watch?v=WM8bTdBs…

One of the more horrific things ever captured on video. I remember hearing every available ambulance in the state, public and private, was dispatched. Used to go to this place as a kid when it was Papa Brillo’s restaurant. (link below)

YouTube spamming everyone’s YT homepage with some Victoria’s Secret show of theirs is not cool. I paid to not get ads, YouTube.

Watched “Hokum” (2026) dir by Damian McCarthy w/ Adam Scott (Parks & Rec) playing an ahole author. It’s a story about a witch, or maybe a haunted hotel, or it could be a murder mystery, but might be about psychological trauma. The entire movie was filmed in darkness. 6/10

Find something you love to do in life the way Kyle Williams loves stepping out of bounds.

Just watched “Mercy” (2026) dir by Timur Bekmambetov (Wanted, Night Watch) w/ Chris Pratt, Rebecca Ferguson (Dune), Kali Reis (Resident Evil), Kylie Rogers (Yellowstone), and Chris Sullivan (This is Us). Prove your innocence to a hot AI judge or face execution. 6/10

I am offerng my services to OpenAI to help them secure models that they don't want to access the Internet.
OpenAI paused their training again after an AI found a way to break out and access the Internet from their new super secured environment. As expected. If we continue on this path, at best we will lose all our telecommunication and banking infrastructure in a chain reaction from self replicating AIs. At worst, we will all die. @PauseAI now, once and for all.

Wow. This absolutely gripped the nation in 1982. This case is responsible for the way OTC meds are packaged today.
Police in Boise, Idaho, announced Wednesday they had identified the "Unknown Wanderer," a man found dead in a church in 1982, and revealed a surprising possible connection to the still-unsolved Chicago Tylenol murders. cbsn.ws/3Vcbohx

Was watching an interesting rendition of William Shatner “singing” Crazy Train at Riot Fest and sure enough that’s Nita Strauss up there with him!

Metallica (Dokken, Scorpions, Van Halen) Anthrax (Ozzy) Megadeth (Dio) Queensryche (Metallica) McCauley-Schenker Group (Rush) Alice Cooper (Iron Maiden) Helloween and Armored Saint (Grim Reaper) Frank Turner (Flogging Molly) Jared James Nichols (John 5)
Who’s the best opening band you’ve ever seen live? Sometimes the opening band ends up being the biggest surprise of the night. Maybe you knew their music, maybe you didn’t, but they came out and killed it.

Same as it ever was
the AI safety debate is already poisoned. The political parties have chosen their side, so now it’s impossible to have discussions or debates on the merits and the risks vs opportunity costs. Everyone has shut their brains off, and have installed the talking points programming

I asked Claude a technical question regarding personal archiving of media content I own. Anthropic’s sonnet model told me it wouldn’t answer because personal archiving of media was naughty. Gemini otoh gave me the solution i was looking for and a full set of instructions.
