I smoked for 40 yrs, 10 yrs cigarette free by switching to vaping. No one should have the right to tell me *how* to quit. The fact is I quit.

All my smoking life I was told to quit. I did. Apparently "they" don't like *how* I quit. We have the right to access harm reduction. #WVD2021

Cigarettes are a top cause of NCDs. So why does @WHO continue to oppose the most effective smoking cessation interventions?

1,180 cigarettes, which can cause cancer, have been authorised by the FDA since January 2021, but @ACSCAN are far more concerned about the 65 less harmful products which don't. Don't donate to such incredible #Charlatans. #WorseThanBigTobacco
The cowards and reality deniers at the American Cancer Society (@ACSNews and @ACSCAN) hid my post pointing out their misinformation and that they no longer seem to care about cancer. Here it is again. xitter.cf/Clive_Bates/status/211… You can burn your reputation, but you can't hide it.

The WHO meets in Copenhagen today to discuss Europe's health future. Here's a lesson it should learn: 🚫 Banning nicotine products doesn't eliminate demand. 💰 It hands the market to criminals. 📉 It undermines efforts to reduce smoking. Europe needs evidence, not ideology. prohibitiondoesnotwork.com/n…

Almost 20 years!
It will never cease to amaze me that this tiny little battery powered vaporizer has kept me off of cigarettes for almost 20 years. All @FDATobacco has to do is authorize some products that adults want to use, and smoking rates will plummet on their own.

My father died of COPD after smoking two packs a day for most of his life. When the @WHO finally accepts the fact that #SaferNicotine vapes don't cause COPD, how will it explain the fact that it convinced 42 countries (34% of the world's population) to ban those? mdpi.com/1660-4601/11/4/4356… ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/article…

Sky News has a short video following yesterday's article by Boidin et al in JAMA Cardiology. Here's a clip from it featuring Dr. Matthew Evison, a Professor of Respiratory Medicine and one of the authors.

Reposting this reply simply because @ACSCAN is afraid someone might see it and that's why they have hidden it.
Highly misleading. FDA has authorised two flavoured vapes, which are not available yet. Young people buy Chinese (not tobacco industry) flavoured vapes on the black market - created by FDA - and most would otherwise be smoking. Aren’t you meant to be about stopping cancer?

Every year, 45,464 Canadians lose their lives to diseases caused by smoking. That’s 2 out of 3 smokers—gone too soon from cancer, heart disease, and respiratory illness. Smoking doesn’t just take lives; it steals precious moments—playing with grandkids, enjoying retirement, and making memories with loved ones. Everyone deserves to know their options. Learn the facts. I have reported this to "X" as a probable bot involved in child abuse. It posts the same thing every day. REALITY: Health Canada reports that teen nicotine vaping dropped 60% over the past five years. 2.2% now vape "daily or near-daily." Claiming "high rates of youth vaping" is a reprehensible lie.
Let’s Build a Smoke-Free Generation. Canada continues to face high rates of youth vaping and nicotine use. We’re building a movement to protect future generations from nicotine addiction before it starts. Join us and add your name today. Take the Pledge: nlha.ca/smokefreegeneration/

FYI: There is a private group on "X" for "Nicotine & Neurodiversity Advocates." If you are "on the spectrum" and want to join, I can ask the group and help you get in. My hope is "Nicotine & ND Advocates" will someday out to @CHADD_ADHD and other patients' advocacy groups.

Congratulations on quitting smoking Max. Truly! I have talked with the President of @CHADD_ADHD, the patients' advocacy group for people with #ADHD. CHADD drank the Kool-Aid handed out by Tobacco Control. They are not aware of how many good people like you exist. :-)

This 👇🏾 would apply to the @WHO @FCTCofficial and a large majority of Tobacco Control academics researching how to convince governments to pass and strengthen prohibitionary laws to stop people using non-tobacco non-combustible nicotine products, and how to further stigmatise and criminalise people who smoke tobacco.
