We trained our nutrition staff on IMAM (Integrated Management of Acute Malnutrition) and MAMI (Management of Small and Nutritionally At-risk Infants under six months) to strengthen their capacity to identify, manage and prevent malnutrition. The training covered screening and classification of malnutrition, appropriate care and referral pathways, counselling, and monitoring children’s recovery. Today in Mogadishu, GREDO participated in the Lower Shabelle El Niño Preparedness and Response Coordination Meeting, led by the Southwest State Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs in collaboration with the ministries of Planning, Water and Energy, Women and Family, and Interior, alongside humanitarian partners and other actors. Coordinated preparedness and timely early action are essential to protect communities, livelihoods and essential services from flood risks.
