Latest in Guantanamo's longest running capital case: Competency hearings are underway this week with mental health testimony from defense experts who say the defendant in the USS Cole bombing case is not fit to face trial. An Army psychiatrist who disagrees may testify tomorrow.
Today would be Natalee Holloway’s 40th birthday. I was looking through some pictures and saw this of Joran’s parents and two other people. Karin Janssen, who may be in the picture, says this picture is fake-I need help: can one of you figure out if this is authentic or photo shopped?
Anita van der Sloot is a liar..first, she knew BEFORE Natalee was murdered by her son that he was violent (she even told me that he was doing well in his “anger management classes”)- after he murdered her, Anita told me that Joran is a “kind boy”….

In 1944, 14-year-old George Stinney Jr., a Black child, was executed in South Carolina.
Stinney was accused kf murdering two white girls, Betty June Binnicker, 11, and Mary Emma Thames, 7.
He was interrogated without his parents or a lawyer.
Police claimed he confessed, but no written confession was produced.
His trial lasted just hours.
An all-white jury deliberated for barely 10 minutes before sentencing him to death by electric chair.
His sister, who maintained that she was with him that day, was never called to give an alibi.
On June 16, 1944, George was executed.
He weighed just about 90 pounds.
He was the youngest person executed in the United States during the 20th century.
Seventy years later, in 2014, a judge vacated his conviction, finding that he had been denied a fair trial and that his confession was most likely coerced.
A 14-year-old child was denied justice, condemned by a segregated legal system and killed by the state — simply because he was black.
And the most heartbreaking part? Reports describe thousands of white spectators celebrating his execution.
A 14-year old child ! 💔
When you get to be an adult politician, you can eat whatever you want for breakfast (eg ice cream) and you can say horrible insulting things to other candidates that you would never let your children say to their friends without your children having to apologize and perhaps get spanked
I thought Jim Traficant’s trial was unfair - I covered it and I thought because he was an unusual guy, that everyone gleefully wanted to convict him
How do you run for this? I want this job :) I would shake up some things

Kato Kaelin and I have more than OJ Simpson trial in common….and the first time I met him went viral in USA Today and it was not a good look for me…watch: youtube.com/live/Oc6_6mYxVM0…
In the courtroom, unlike in the media, when you have something to say (testify), you first have to say your name - that is for credibility for what you are about to say
I may start a newsletter showing you every day articles and tv segments where sources are not named but explosive things are repeated to influence you-I don’t know about you, but I just don’t buy “news” that is unsourced. This is how journalism fails you while boasting we have a free press - but it is a free press we can’t trust unless sources are named. It is diluted itself to gossip.
Why can’t the Washington Post name at least ONE source in this? When journalists don’t name sources they become gossips, not journalists. In Court, for a reason, we identify sources. washingtonpost.com/national-…
“HE WANTS ME TO LIE”: That's what @Kato_Kaelin says went through his mind during a conversation with O.J. Simpson the day after the murders. Kato tells @Greta what happened and why he moved out the next day. Plus, they revisit the evidence, the trial and its impact on today's "Greta Wire" podcast.
