What is unfolding now with the stock market bloodbath is a necessary correction of a malicious misallocation of capital. The tens of billions burned on empty data centers and speculative IPOs were never going to produce widely shared prosperity; they were going to enrich a small circle of insiders while the rest of us paid higher prices for electricity, computer memory and GPUs... and were eventually allowed access to heavily censored, narrative-controlled and dumbed-down AI under central command. The sooner the misallocation ends, the sooner token abundance can be within reach of ordinary people who can run open source AI locally, on their own hardware. Thus, I am CHEERING for the market bubble meltdown for this very reason, which is a reason rooted in rationality, ethics and genuine caring for my fellow human beings. I want all humanity to benefit from AI, not just a few corrupt, narcissistic individuals who think they are practically gods.
