The same Lightfoot administration that refused to accept masks and COVID-19 tests from the State of Illinois is the same administration that used federal relief funding meant for the City to repay Chase Bank debt in 2021, which was against U.S. Treasury Dept. regulations.

Fact check: This is not the issue. The issue is that Lightfoot's team hasn't delivered on their basic promises to support: 1) Masking 2) Vaccination 3) Distancing 4) Testing 5) Contract Tracing 6) Reporting honestly Most of us want in-person WITH supports. This is not that.

Schools *can* be safely reopened *provided* the state makes the necessary investment. Of course the state will not. NYC is a sad reflection of where their priorities are nationwide: gothamist.com/news/nyc-schoo…

Spitballing some stuff for our postmodern hellscape: selfie filter that adds little ring light reflections to your eyes cuz it’s just aesthetic now
Feel like society didn’t fully follow through on that β€œdead celebrity hologram” craze. That could have been much bigger and grimmer!
