I hate how #inaccessible access is... I can't use the @Yale accessible shuttle without a medical note stating I use a wheelchair...but I'm new to the USA, so the earliest appt I could get was 2 months after my start date. I can't get into the office... 1/

I was diagnosed with cancer in April. Unfortunately, chemotherapy, radiation, and immunotherapy couldn’t tame this, and my medical team is now focused on keeping me comfortable while I spend the last chapter of my life with my partner, family, and friends. 1/4

This is my last month at JPL. I resigned in October after deciding to leave this summer due to feeling completely unsupported as a disabled postdoc. My supervisors were wonderful, my colleagues amazing, but this wasn’t enough. 🧵
