My mum ended up in a nursing home after going on blood pressure pills which caused kidney failure & a series of strokes. The Indian care workers were so cruel & rough with her, I was forever lodging complaints & some of them got fired. Mum had a gangrenous leg & the care worker, while washing her, dropped it to free fall onto the bed from about a metre. Mum screamed in pain told her to get out & never come near her again. The others were passive aggressive. She needed to go to the bathroom & they told her to just do it in her nappy which horrified mum & she screamed the place down until they took her there. I used to visit every day after work & brought her food. The food in front of her was wrapped in plastic & they would just come past & take it away saying she wasn't hungry but due to her stroke, she could not remove the plastic on her own. They used to leave her water out of reach too. Not a single white employee was working there & the other homes were the same.
