Only two possible conclusions. One I have become a world class sprinter capable of doing 9 straight 5 minute miles with only 6,000 steps. Two, possibly my phone woke up this morning and had a stroke.

One of my historical hot takes is that I don't think it was the bond market that allowed England to hold out vs Napoleon. I think it was the English channel that made it impossible for Napoleon to march in to London and dictate the terms.

I have sometimes wondered if the most successful totally immoral people realize at some point that keeping 10 normal people around to run ideas by is probably the best strategy for avoiding walking into this particular bear trap.

This is France’s most famous painting. It shows a violent revolution with barricades, armed civilians, and dead bodies. Acting shocked that France has street unrest is peak historical illiteracy.

I understand the need for futures markets, but perhaps just perhaps the reality of Onions being widely available and easy to get implies that maybe the futures markets are much more of a casino, and much larger of a casino then they need to be.
