And this is exactly why we do what we do โฅ๏ธ
I didn't plan on becoming a Founder this year, it was not even on my yearly goal list.
Then I won my first hackathon, @hack4_freedom , and somehow, one win turned into more hackathons, more building, and a version of me I didn't know yet.
My confidence as a founder and a person has grown so much since January.
Iโve learnt to trust my ideas, work with people, take feedback, communicate better, and stop waiting until I feel 100% ready before trying something new.
And I have @briimhd and @ibrahim_sekinah to thank for a lot of that growth and the confidence they helped instill in me even after the hackathon till now.
These two ladies probably have no idea how much they've inspired me, I'll always appreciate them for that. ๐ฉต
To every woman trying to build something: please don't give up on your dreams just because you can't see the whole path yet.
And don't shrink yourself trying to impress people, do it because it matters to you.
Even when bad things happen, learn from it and grow, leave people where you left them and focus on you.
This year also brought amazing people into my life.
I've learnt from people I probably wouldn't have met otherwise, and icl, those experiences have meant so much more than the bad ones.
Not every experience will be good, and not everyone who crosses your path will be there for the right reasons.
But there's still so much to learn, and I'm choosing to be grateful for the growth.
I'm definitely not the same person I was in January. I have a lot more to learn, but I'm proud of how far I've come.
I'm grateful I found my way into this space and I'm excited to see who I become next. ๐ฉต

We used NIP-1, 5, 6, 17, 40, 42, 44, 47, 51, 59, 98 and custom conventions for org verification, counselor rosters, operational key rotation, support-group membership, and signed client config. Not a formal NIP yet, but Iโd love to turn the useful pieces into an Open Spec

At @tabconf, @kelvinator05 just took the stage to talk about the growing role of the Global Majority in Bitcoin open-source development.
He highlighted how the ecosystem is growing beyond contributions to existing projects, with communities, conferences, and companies emerging across the Global Majority.
He also shared some of the impact and products coming out of the ecosystem, and how local developers are stepping up as contributors and maintainers.
This is at the heart of what we do at Btrust: supporting developers in the Global Majority and creating opportunities for them to contribute to Bitcoin open source and help shape its future. โ at Atlanta, GA

If we want to shape Africaโs tech future to better reflect our realities, we have to do more than use the technology. We have to build it. โก๏ธ
Africa doesnโt just need more people using Bitcoin and open-source technology. We need more people contributing to the code, building infrastructure, and solving problems within our communities.
The projects built by the women at @hack4_freedom Nairobi were a reminder of whatโs possible when African developers take the lead in building solutions that reflect their realities. Weโre immensely proud of what theyโve accomplished. ๐งก
Itโs time to move from being consumers of technology to becoming the builders shaping what comes next.
