Imagine dropping a flash model and it beats all the SOTA models out there on benches
🚀 DeepSeek-V4.1-Flash-1017 is here!
Stronger benchmark performance, faster task completion, and shorter outputs than the previous version—a Pareto improvement in performance and cost. Now live on our website, app, and API.
🛠️ Optimized for @DeepSeekHarness, Tencent CodeBuddy, WorkBuddy, and more. Upgrade to DeepSeek Harness v0.2.1-rc.1 or later for the best experience with the new model.

WHAT DO YOU MEAN IT'S BETTET THAN FABLE????
At nearly everything, wth @Muse
after a long wait, le chonk is out!
i'm very proud to have had a (small) hand in making it good at code and cyber :)
weights on HF later this month!
Meet Mistral Large 4, aka Le Chonk.
• 1T parameters, natively multimodal. 49B active.
It is the best open weights model from US or Europe on aggregated benchmarks.
• State-of-the-art on critical workloads, including cyber defense, manufacturing and finance and it surpasses closed frontier models on visual grounding.
• Forged in Europe end-to-end and is deployable from Europe via our own Mistral Cloud infrastructure.
• Available to all via API today. Working with cybersecurity partners privately.
Open weights release end of October.
They fucking did it, le chonk is here

So far, Sonnet 5.5 is pretty good, need to try it as the main model for a few more days to see how far I can go / get blocked with it
I've decided to only use Sonnet 5.5 for work tomorrow, will let you all know how I feel about it.
I have been using Opus 5.5 and it's been good, idk about sonnet though!
The stupidest thing I've ever seen.
So we initially had dodge, then they starting cancelling dodge, and now we can cancel cancelling dodge???
Are we retarted or something?
So close to 400!!!
Still looking to make new friends, in IT or other domains as long as you wabt to #connect and grow together!
If you're using AI, tell me what subscription/modelcyou're using currently.
For me it's Opus 5.5, and soon Sonnet 5.5 as it came out yesterday!
I feel like Codex is gonna have a nearly unlimited plan for the 500$ one coming soon, and it's the whole reason behind the rug pull on the 200$ plan.
I would never justify putting 500$ on any plan at all, as I rarely use my subscription fully for Claude with the 200$ plan.
And I use it daily, at work, outside of work, for my freelancing gig.
It's just THAT good now, and if you're not shipping a shitload like @theo and his team on T3Code, there's no reason to get the 500$ sub.
Regardless of how much usage you get, right now, it's not a good deal at all with the 5.5, especially Opus 5.5 model with plenty of usage on claude code.
There really isn't a good reason to have an OpenAI sub anymore.
The whole point to me was models as good if not better in some aspects to claude models, that you have way more usage for.
This is no longer the case, and not only that, but the usage is cut down.
I was genuinely going to unsubscribe from my Claude Max 20 sub before the 5.5 release, I'm so glad I was patient enough and waited for the next model to be released.
Genuinely can't wait to test out Sonnet 5.5, as I've been loving Opus 5.5 so far.

Defintely not subscribing to Codex after this, especially since Opus 5.5 and Sonnet 5.5 are so amazing.
There is no reason to have an OpenAI sub at the moment.
Biggest anime betrayal of 2026 so far
Hi,
Tomorrow we are re-opening the Pro $200 subscriptions to new subscribers, but together with it we are also changing how we calculate the usage for it. In effect, if you do the math, it will net out at half the dollar in API spend compared to the old Pro $200 plan.
Now that it's said, let me explain why this is happening and why you will still get more work done than if you were on the Pro $200 subscription one month ago.
(a) We didn't want to compromise in other ways and are committing to not reintroducing the 5h limit, so that you can fully use the weekly usage when you want.
(b) On the subscription, we guarantee that over time you always get more work done and with an increasing level of quality. This means that you will continue to get more value per dollar spent as a result of models getting more efficient and us passing down the improvements in the form of API price reductions.
(c) We don't want to put an incentive on ourselves to artificially inflate the API list prices to make it look like you are getting a lot (and workaround it through discounts, etc). Instead we want to continue to both rapidly reduce prices and increase capabilities of models on the API. This week we introduced GPT-6 Sol and GPT-6 Luna at 50% of their previous price. Over time, we see prices go low enough that it makes sense for most to buy usage as needed without there being a significant gap between what you get in a subscription and what you get in the API for a dollar spent.
(d) Tomorrow, we are adding more things to the subscription that won't draw on the usage, I won't reveal what that is yet.
I wanted to be transparent before all the big announcements tomorrow. Lots of new exciting things are coming to the subscriptions that will make it super compelling, but I wanted to make sure to share this change ahead of time so you can all understand it before we shower you with good news.
Codexingly,
Tibo
Crazy how SONNET 5.5 is nearly as good as Opus 5.5, and better than GPT 6 Sol
Replying to @claudeai
Sonnet 5.5 improves on Sonnet 5 across benchmarks, in some cases dramatically.
It’s a faster, lower-cost complement to Claude Opus 5.5, strongest at well-scoped everyday tasks, fixing bugs, and creating polished documents, slides, and spreadsheets.
