Such sad news about the death of Stephen Walker. A journalist we all admired and loved, an author of distinction and a gentleman. Someone should have told him we were meant to be rivals! Had the pleasure of working with him on our shared interest in the Great War. @BBCNewsNI
Haven't tweeted for a while but this is one of the highlights of the year. He is one of the most remarkable kids I have ever met. Great news Daitha, welcome home. itv.com/watch/news/daithi-co…

Sad news with the death of Brendan Murphy, a supremely talented photographer. One of the nicest people you could ever meet. He mentored so many young people in his role as the picture editor of the Irish News.

Saddest of days for us at UTV with Ken Reid's death. He was the master, a brilliant role model who set standards. When Prime Ministers talked about Northern Ireland they talked to Ken. He had the true inside track, making him probably the most trusted journalist here. @UTVNews
