yo @TimSweenyy you should organise an AI game dev boycott where all AI game developers refuse to publish on steam and only publish on Epic
Tim Sweeney is criticizing Valve again over Steamβs requirement for developers to disclose their use of generative AI.
The Epic Games CEO called the policy βabhorrent,β arguing that developers are being forced to make a βpolitical statementβ that could be used against them by a βhate mob.β
Sweeney has been criticizing the policy since 2025, previously comparing the disclosure to a βScarlet Letterβ and arguing that AI will eventually be part of almost every game production process.

Sorry for the lack of travel updates. I had to run back to the US for an emergency, all is OK though
(I was hoping to spend two more weeks out here, but I had to leave on Tuesday)
You can always leave conversations when people have the dumbest of takes
But thank you to my community for always being so respectful, and uplifting (and smart!) π
I have never had to use it with y'all π¦π

Fighting game legend SonicFox has pulled out of a gaming convention after organizers used AI-generated art of them to promote the event
"Use the money you offered me in contract to hire artists, and maybe next year Iβll reconsider"
just a reminder, this could have happened to us Sonic fans ten years ago
Thank you for the folks at Sonic Team who fought hard, and to Jeff Fowler and Tyson for the killer movies π¦π
