The usual suspects in the “conservative” influencer griftosphere are shouting, “What’s the practical alternative? Trump’s hands are tied by Congress!”
The idea that Trump is somehow hamstrung by a GOP Congress that treats him like a deity is beyond ludicrous.
Trump has been demanding passage of precisely this bill, the one he nicknamed the Big, Beautiful Bill. He has threatened to primary anyone who opposes it.
The practical alternative is for a Republican president to use his position of considerable influence to actually get spending under control.
Just once, maybe, he could demand real spending cuts.
Trump had every political advantage this term—a Republican Congress, Elon Musk and DOGE, and post-election momentum.
Yet he chose the most impractical route of all: insisting that Congress continue its massive overspending, pushing the United States further down the path of a debt crisis.

Don't let the media (traditional or social) blacken your heart and darken your soul.
When you feel that temptation, it's prudent to log off for a while, and live in the real world instead of the screen.

In 2024, Trump condemned Biden for bombing Yemen.
At least then, Houthis were attacking US ships. They stopped with Gaza cease-fire.
Now the US is in a sustained war against Houthis, and vowing war with Iran over it. Did Trump voters want more MidEast wars? I heard otherwise.

In October of 2001, only three republicans, including @RonPaul, voted against the PATRIOT Act.
Abuse of the PATRIOT Act over time revealed they were justified. Imagine the pressure they were under just one month after 9/11. I’m sure they were called every name in the book.

Tomorrow, the Texas House will vote on TX HB 366. If passed and signed into law, it would be a crime — punishable by fines or jail time — for many to share political content that, in the state’s view, "did not occur in reality."
FIRE opposes this unconstitutional bill.

What a complete load of bullshit. Please go back to Wall Street where your talents in that department are more applicable. For crying out loud, the 40-year high inflation of 2021-2022 was triggered by Trump's lockdowns, $4 trillion of stimmies and demands for massive Fed money-printing during 2020.
Bringing down persistent Bidenflation has been a priority for the first 100 days of the Trump Administration, and @POTUS has done a great job of leading that effort.
Interest rates are down, mortgage rates are down, gasoline and energy prices are down, and we’re expecting further decreases.
We’re making America affordable again.

The city threatens to arrest a man for providing free landscaping to an elderly woman who can't afford the city's maintenance fee for it, as the city seeks the revenue.
Without government, who would stop people from helping others so they could force payment for revenue?

Palisades fire destroyed 6,800 homes. At 4 rebuilding permits per 75 days, LA should have this sorted out 349.08 years, or early 2374, at which point we then go on to Phase II of the permitting process

When you think about it, most government 'victories' are simply them rolling back the bad policies they previously made.
They rarely create anything new and helpful.
