Per Selasa (2/12/2025) siang, Badan Nasional Penanggulangan Bencana (BNPB) melaporkan korban meninggal mencapai 659 orang, 475 orang masih hilang, dan lebih dari 1 juta orang terpaksa mengungsi. Selain menimbulkan banyak korban jiwa, bencana itu juga menyebabkan kerusakan rumah dan infrastruktur umum.

Tahun 2018 BMKG dan akademisi BPPT mengingatkan akan potensi bahaya Tsunami Pandeglang, eh malah diancam diproses hukum karena dianggap menghambat investasi. Akhir tahun itu pula kemudian terjadi bencana tsunami Pandeglang yang begitu destruktif.
Tahun 2021 BMKG sudah mengingatkan akan adanya potensi anomali siklon tropis yang bakal rutin di Indonesia akibat dari pemanasan global dan mendorong untuk segera dimitigasi. Namun mitigasinya tetap gitu-gitu aja. Hari ini kita melihat siklon tropis telah menghancurkan Sumatra.

Presiden Prabowo Subianto telah memerintahkan Kapolri Jenderal Listyo Sigit Prabowo untuk menaikkan pangkat para polisi yang jadi korban dalam kerusuhan di berbagai wilayah di Indonesia.
“Saya sampaikan ke Kapolri, saya minta semua petugas dinaikin pangkat, naikin pangkat luar biasa karena bertugas di lapangan membela negara, membela rakyat, menghadapi anasir-anasir,” kata Prabowo saat mengunjungi anggota Polri korban kerusuhan yang dirawat di RS Polri, Jakarta Timur pada Senin (1/9).
Selain kenaikan pangkat, Prabowo juga memerintahkan Jenderal Sigit untuk menyekolahkan polisi yang menjadi korban.
“Saya perintahkan mereka diberi penghargaan naik pangkat, masuk sekolah,” ucap Prabowo.
