October 27th, 2026 Update: I am finally able to eat and am slowly getting my strength back. Everything ChatGPT and my Doctor told me to expect was true, meaning, because there is No cure recovery will vary by person but more than likely take months and weeks, not days, and it won't be, and isn't, linear.....meaning, one day I can sit upright, walk, even drive, and be fairly active then the next day my head is just swimming and I cannot get off the counch and sleep all day. My Tongue still burns, my eyelids burn, my vision is still blurry and I am still very weak and wobbly but.....I can eat and I'm slowly getting more energy as time goes on. I have read each and every one of your replies to my original post, I am extremely humbled and grateful to all of you who chose to take the time and effort to reach out, Thank You. I know you have probably heard it a gazillion times in your life, but, there is absolutely nothing worse or more humbling than losing your health.....its just so easy to take it for granted, myself included. I'm trying to do as much as I can each day, right now my head is swimming from sitting at the computer, desktop, for 2 hours so as soon as I get this update done, I am going to lay down for however long. Thanks again for your concern, I really appreciate it, I look forward to pulling out of this eventually and being able to fully function again.

Oct. 7th, 2026 I don't normally post this type of stuff but I am getting further and further behind. I was in the Hospital from August 20th until the 27th having contracted the West Nile Virus, which in turn is a Neuroinvasive Disease that is affecting the Membrane's in my Brain and Back. I have spent all of September sleeping 20 hours a day, I have lost 25 pounds, can't eat, nothing tastes or smells good, tongue burns, eye's tearing, lips and forhead chapped, its been nothing less than pure misery on the daily. The Only reason I am writing this is because I am falling further and further behind on e-mails from my supporters as well as responding on here. I don't want to send the wrong message as I do care and I do respond but according to my Doctor I may not get out of this anytime soon, its not linear like getting over the Flu and its stricly a case by case basis. I was in Long Beach Memorial Hospital and a Nurse from the Centers of Disease Control came in and told me I was number 11 in LA County, so far its killed 5 people and 105 in LA county have gotten it, those stats are a week or more old. Even now my head is swimming as I am typing this out and I need to lay down, I have thought about this for some time now and have come to accept I may not get out of this anytime soon and I can't stand the thought of being irresponsible and offending any of You, my supporters, by not responding to your e-mails, or here on X, or the many inquiries I have gotten at dominicwolfe.com where you can open a ticket and it comes straight to me. I don't want anything from anyone except for you to know I care and I would never ignore any of you for any reason, I am fortunate to have You all and that is something I do not take for granted.
