Amazing to host the @BBCAcademy BBC Verify on tour event at @NottmTrentUni this week. Fascinating talks and guests, thank you to all involved!
Twas the morning of Christmas when all through the newsroom….just one journalist was stirring, bringing Nottinghamshire their news……
Merry Christmas from @BBCNottingham 🎄🎙️

Reform leader #NigelFarage is in the 🇺🇸 to talk about the importance of free speech. So I ask him to explain why his party has banned local UK reporters from speaking to them in Nottingham? @BBCNews
Yesterday, MPs debated further potential changes to the Terminally Ill Adults (End of Life) Bill.
Earlier in the week, I spoke to Peter Wilson whose wife Beverly took her own life in 2022, months after being diagnosed with stage four cancer.

We will miss you Sara! I grew up watching you on the TV and radio, so it's been surreal to be your colleague at the end of your time with the BBC. Good Luck!
Such a lovely send off today from friends and colleagues @BBCNottingham, @BBCDerby, @bbchw,@BBCLeicester,@BBCShropshire, @bbcmerseyside. Made me very emotional 🥲

This is brilliant reporting by @miyaaaz_ - uncovering the state of our biggest hospital. It's a reminder of the importance of local journalism, embedded in the communities it serves.
"We are full here at the QMC. Space is a premium, so it's a real shame that this clinic is now unusable." The team goes for a look around the unused quarters of the hospital. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c805…
Another incredibly important story from my esteemed colleague @miyaaaz_
I’m both proud of this story and heartbroken by it. Me and Ellie are the same age, and she opened up to me about her struggles with alcohol addiction, and how much this service means to her.
She’s come so far, and is now afraid of what will happen next…
